Land of the Giants
Land of the Giants may have been a long forgotten TV series from late sixties, but here in California, at times it can feel like we live in that world. Giant sized attractions, mostly made out of fiberglass dot our roadsides. The most prominent of the giants, numbering over twenty, are the Muffler Men that line our highways and they come in all shapes and sizes. But they are not alone. Giant food, ranging from artichokes and oranges to olives and lemons, can also be found throughout California. Giant farm animals lurk in our towns like the giant chicken infestation mostly down in Los Angeles and a giant steer in Central California. And if that wasn't enough, there's also giant utensils and cups lying around, as well as giant board games that are more fitting for twenty foot tall players!
